The STEP by The Hindu Group

STEP (http://steptest.in), a Chennai-based digital education start-up backed by The Hindu Group is working towards bridging the communication skills gap in the teaching and student fraternity through technological intervention. However, not all learning environments are well equipped to learn with technology. To that end, they needed to prepare a face-to-face training course that could be both, a stand-alone programme for helping young people improve their English, and also complement their online course.

Shyaonti developed scripts and tasks/activities for online teachers classroom language development course. The target language was English for a specific purpose: Language for the classroom: specific langauge that teachers can use for the key functions of teaching. The Target audience was teachers of all subjects, from both schools and higher education sectors and with language levels: A2-B1. The course consists of a series of videos and activities which will support teachers to acquire the language required to carry out various functions of teaching.

Shyaonti also developed Grammar modules for intermediate to advanced user of English Language who were at a B2 level of proficiency which included lesson plans, grammar graphics and diagrams, activities, worksheets, consolidation material and functional language.
